Bareilly: The Department of Education at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University witnessed a vibrant cultural programme organized by M.Ed. first-year students under the inspiration of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh and coordinated by Dr. Pratibha Sagar.
The event began with a traditional welcome ceremony, where students Vivek Upadhyay, Pallavi Singh, Nidhi Chauhan, and Shraddha welcomed guests with tilak and angavastram. The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tribute to Goddess Saraswati.
Presiding over the event, Head of Department Prof. Santosh Arora emphasized the importance of cultural activities in nurturing talent and personality development. He encouraged students to become inclusive and sensitive educators while pursuing their goals with confidence, dedication, and integrity.
The programme featured a series of captivating performances. Manya Dixit and her group presented a graceful Saraswati Vandana dance, followed by a musical rendition of the university anthem by Shikha Singh and her team. Pranav Pathak, Subhash, and their group showcased a story of valour from Bundelkhand, while Shraddha’s group delivered an energetic patriotic dance inspired by events in Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor.
Students also staged thought-provoking plays titled “New Education System” and “Education as a Marketplace”, with enthusiastic performances by Anushree, Sandhya, Deepti, Savita, Ajay, Chandrottam, Pooja, Shivam, and others. The event further included group songs, devotional music, and poetry recitations.
The programme was skillfully anchored by Pranav Pathak and Shikha Rathore, while overall management was handled by Dhruv Malhotra, Pallavi Singh, Rohit, and other students, earning appreciation from faculty members.

Dr. Pratibha Sagar, the programme coordinator, lauded the students’ efforts and highlighted that such cultural events help reduce stress and make learning more engaging. She expressed gratitude to all faculty members and congratulated the participants.
Several faculty members, including Dr. Tarun Rashtriya, Dr. Prempal Singh, Dr. Vimal Kumar, Dr. Rashmi Ranjan, Dr. Rambabu, Dr. Meenakshi, and Dr. Suresh Kumar, along with research scholars and M.Ed. second-year students, graced the occasion.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking a successful and enriching cultural celebration.
