Lucknow: On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of India, Lulu Hypermarket, Lucknow organised a grand and dignified ceremony to honour retired armed forces officers who dedicated their lives to the service of the nation. The event was devoted to patriotism, national values, and gratitude towards India’s brave soldiers.
As part of the celebration, Lulu Hypermarket specially invited and felicitated several distinguished military veterans, including Colonel Sanjay Srivastava, Commander Uma Maheshwar Chand, Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) Chanchal Singh (Shaurya Chakra awardee), Colonel Iqtesad Alam Khan, Squadron Leader Rakhi Agrawal, and Group Captain Manish Kumar Srivastava.
The programme featured a series of patriotic cultural performances, including dance, music, and stage presentations that reflected national unity, sacrifice, and the core values enshrined in the Constitution. The audience witnessed the performances with great enthusiasm and pride, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotic spirit.
Addressing the gathering, Jaya Kumar Gangadharan, Director – Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Delhi, extended warm Republic Day greetings to all guests and said that the sacrifice and dedication of India’s soldiers form the true strength of the nation. He added that Lulu Hypermarket felt proud to have the opportunity to honour these national heroes.
Noman Aziz Khan, Regional Director – Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Delhi, recalled the exceptional contributions of the invited military officers and said that their service towards safeguarding the nation’s security and honour would continue to inspire future generations.
Sunil Sharma, General Manager, Lulu Hypermarket, also addressed the audience, expressing pride in the country and deep respect for the armed forces. He noted that such initiatives help strengthen the spirit of patriotism and gratitude within society.
