Lucknowites can now travel easy to Devbhoomi

Lucknow: The operation of Vande Bharat Express between Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow and Uttarakhand’s Dehradun has started from March 26. This train, which runs six days a week except Monday, will travel between Dehradun and Lucknow in just eight hours and 20 minutes. Whereas other trains take 11 to 12 hours to cover this distance.

In Vande Bharat, chair car fare between Lucknow-Dehradun is Rs 1,480, which also includes Rs 323 for food. At the same time, the fare for executive class is Rs 2,715, of which Rs 384 is for food. Passengers are liking it very much due to which the train is running full house.

How much will the fare cost between other stations?

In Vande Bharat Express, the chair car fare from Dehradun to Haridwar is Rs 540, which includes food of Rs 142, while the executive class fare is Rs 955. Chaircar fare from Dehradun to Moradabad is Rs 715, which includes food of Rs 101, while executive class fare is Rs 1370. Chaircar fare from Dehradun to Bareilly is Rs 860, which includes food of Rs 101, while the fare for executive class is Rs 1660.

This is the timetable

This train will leave from Lucknow at 5:15 am and reach Dehradun at 1:35 pm. In the return journey, the same train will depart from Dehradun at 2:25 pm and reach Lucknow at 10:40 pm. After leaving Dehradun, this train will stop directly at Haridwar. There will be halt at only five stations between Dehradun and Lucknow namely Haridwar, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur and Alamnagar.

PM Modi had given the green signal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express between Dehradun-Lucknow on March 12. However, the schedule of its operation and fare was released by the Railways after a week. This is the first train to travel both ways between Lucknow and Dehradun in the same day.

Before this, two Volvo buses of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation and Uttarakhand Transport Corporation were operating between Doon-Lucknow, but after Covid, Uttarakhand stopped its Volvo buses. Now only two ordinary buses of Uttarakhand come to Lucknow.

The fare for Dehradun to Lucknow Volvo bus is Rs 1,750, while the fare for Vande Bharat Express is Rs 1,480. Food charges are also included in the train fare and it also takes less time. The Volvo bus reaches the region in 12 hours, while the train covers the distance in eight and a quarter hours.
