Lucknow: In response to recent incidents on campus, the Lucknow University administration on Tuesday intensified its security and disciplinary monitoring. Under the leadership of Proctor Prof. Rakesh Dwivedi, the university’s proctorial team, with assistance from the police, carried out a large-scale inspection drive across the campus.
During the operation, student identity cards were thoroughly checked at the main entrance, as well as in the Science and Arts faculties, library premises, and hostels. Students found without valid ID cards were issued warnings, while entry of unauthorized outsiders was strictly prohibited.
The university administration reiterated that strict action will be taken against anyone found violating campus discipline or engaging in unlawful or disruptive activities.
“It is our responsibility to ensure that the university remains a safe and academically conducive environment,” said Proctor Prof. Rakesh Dwivedi. “We want students to focus their energy on studies and constructive pursuits, not on rumours or conflicts.”
A university spokesperson added that such security checks will continue periodically to maintain peace and order on the campus.
