Lucknow: To ensure discipline and strengthen security across the campus, Lucknow University on Wednesday conducted its third consecutive day of intensive inspection. The proctorial team, led by Proctor Prof. Rakesh Dwivedi, carried out checks across several key academic and administrative departments, including the Commerce, Chemistry, and Mathematics departments, Science Canteen, and the Cashier’s Office.
During the drive, members of the proctorial team inspected student attendance records, verified identity cards, and checked entry permissions. Several students found roaming in the Commerce Block and Science Canteen without valid ID cards were issued warnings. Additional surveillance was maintained around the Cashier’s Office and the main administrative area to monitor any suspicious activity.

A university spokesperson clarified that the initiative aims not only to maintain discipline but also to ensure a safe and positive academic environment for students and staff.

“Securing every department and office within the university is our top priority,” said Proctor Prof. Rakesh Dwivedi. “Any form of indiscipline or unwanted activity will not be tolerated.” He urged students and staff to cooperate with the administration in maintaining campus safety.
The university administration has indicated that such inspection drives will continue and will soon be conducted department-wise on a regular basis.
