Lucknow: The sixth edition of the much-anticipated Lucknow Run 2024 took place this year with great enthusiasm, marking yet another successful chapter in Lucknow’s journey toward promoting a culture of health and well-being. Held at the scenic grounds of GD Goenka Public School, Sushant Golf City, this annual event has grown to become a citywide celebration, embodying the resilience and collective spirit of Lucknow. Organized by Centrum, the event drew participants from all walks of life, uniting them in the common pursuit of fitness and community upliftment.
The event featured four categories to accommodate a variety of fitness levels and age groups: a 3 km fun run, a 5 km challenge, a 10 km race for intermediate runners, and a 21.097 km half marathon for seasoned athletes. This range of categories allowed participants of all fitness backgrounds to be part of the event, encouraging an inclusive spirit and fostering a sense of achievement for each participant.
Esteemed guests and influential figures of the city were present to support the initiative. Distinguished personalities gracing the occasion included Lt. Gen. Mukesh Chadha, COS Central Command & Colonel Commandant ASC; Awanish Singh, Member of the Legislative Council; IPS officer Naveen Arora; renowned film director Anurag Kashyap; IAS officer Anil Sagar; IPS officer Ashok Singh; Jyotin Bhasin, Vice President at Daikin; Abdullah Masood, Director of Shalimar Corp; Mayur Agrawal, Director at Value Plus; and Gaurav Bakshi, General Manager at Daikin, among others. Their participation underlined the event’s significance as a community-building and health-promoting endeavor.
In addition to the run, participants and onlookers enjoyed a day filled with live music, wellness workshops, and food stalls offering nutritious options, reinforcing the event’s theme of health and well-being. For many participants, especially the young and elderly, the Lucknow Run 2024 provided not only a fitness challenge but also an opportunity to foster connections, celebrate resilience, and appreciate the vibrant community spirit that defines Lucknow.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing winners across all race categories, but the highlight remained the spirit of unity and health advocacy that the Lucknow Run promotes year after year.
