Lucknow: As part of its ongoing Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign, the Madeyganj Police Station of Lucknow Police Commissionerate organized a special awareness session at Lucknow Convent School on October 6, 2025, aimed at educating children on personal safety, cyber awareness, and protection from abuse. Around 150-160 students, including girls and boys, actively participated in the interactive program.
The session, guided by Lucknow Police Commissioner Shri Amrendra Kumar Sengar, is part of a district-wide initiative where Mission Shakti Centers have been established at 54 police stations, each staffed with an Inspector, Additional Inspector, Sub-Inspector, and Female Sub-Inspector to address safety concerns efficiently.

During the session, children were educated about:
- Women’s safety, cybercrime awareness, and protection measures.
- Usage of CEIR portal, UP COP app, and critical helpline numbers such as 1090, 112, 108, 1098, and 1076 for emergencies.
- Understanding “Good Touch – Bad Touch”, fostering awareness about personal boundaries and safe interactions.
Objectives and Impact:
- Sensitizing Children to Safety: The primary aim was to cultivate awareness and sensitivity toward personal safety, successfully achieved through interactive discussions.
- Encouraging Dreams and Creativity: The program also encouraged students to express their aspirations and nurtured self-expression, reinforcing confidence alongside safety awareness.
- Promoting Safe Mental Development: By combining safety education with encouragement for personal growth, the initiative laid a strong foundation for healthy mental development.
- Strengthening Child Protection: The session represents a meaningful step in child protection, aligning with broader goals of youth empowerment and holistic development.
The program emphasized that children should be aware of safe practices online and offline, enabling them to respond appropriately in risky situations while building confidence to pursue their dreams.
