Lucknow : In a significant breakthrough, Lucknow Police Commissionerate has successfully recovered 60 high-end multimedia mobile phones valued at approximately ₹15 lakh during a special operation carried out in the northern region of the city.
Acting on the instructions of senior police officials regarding a rising number of mobile theft and lost phone complaints, the Northern Crime Surveillance Team launched a focused drive to trace missing and stolen devices.
The operation, conducted on June 27, 2025, was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Gopal Krishna Chaudhary. Utilizing technical surveillance and field intelligence, the team tracked and recovered the stolen mobile phones from various locations.
