Lucknow – In view of the upcoming Bakrid festival, Lucknow Police has ramped up vigilance across sensitive zones of the city to ensure peace and security. On Wednesday, a large-scale foot march was conducted in the Hazratganj police station area, signalling heightened preparedness by the authorities.

The march witnessed the presence of senior officials including DCP Central, ADCP Central, ACP Hazratganj, ACP Mahanagar, along with the SHO of Hazratganj and a substantial police force. The coordinated march covered key market areas and public spots, aiming to reassure citizens and deter any potential unrest.

During the march, police officers interacted with locals and shopkeepers, urging them to maintain harmony and immediately report any suspicious activity, items, or individuals to the nearest police station or Dial 112.

Citizens were also cautioned against circulating rumours or misleading posts on social media. Authorities emphasized the importance of responsible online behaviour during the festive period.
