Lucknow — In a breakthrough, Lucknow Police have cracked two major burglary cases by arresting four juvenile offenders. The minors had stolen a licensed pistol, cash, and jewelry in separate incidents.
Two Major Thefts Reported
According to Ghazipur Police, the first burglary took place on August 12 in Surendra Nagar, where the locked house of Jagdjeevan Ram was targeted and jewelry was stolen.
The second incident occurred on August 16 in Indira Nagar Sector-7. Burglars broke into the office of Surveillance Detective Agency Pvt. Ltd., owned by Sandeep Verma, and made away with a .32 bore licensed pistol, 12 cartridges, and ₹150 in cash.

CCTV Footage Provided Key Leads
After the thefts, police scanned CCTV footage to identify suspects. On August 18, officers received a tip-off that four suspicious youths were riding a motorcycle near Polytechnic crossing. When police attempted to stop them, the group tried to flee but were caught near Sector-25 flyover after a chase.

Stolen Goods Recovered
Upon questioning, the suspects were found to be juveniles. Police recovered the stolen licensed pistol, 12 cartridges, and ₹8,220 in cash, which they admitted was obtained from selling the stolen jewelry.
The Splendor motorcycle used in the crimes was also seized.
Police stated that the minors have been taken into protective custody, and further legal proceedings are underway. Authorities are also investigating whether the juveniles have any prior criminal record.
