Lucknow – In a major initiative to ensure smoother traffic movement across the city, the Lucknow Police on Wednesday launched 42 high-speed racer bikes to combat traffic congestion at key hotspots.
The new fleet was officially flagged off by Police Commissioner Amarendra Sengar at the Reserve Police Lines, marking a significant step towards modernising traffic management in the city.
These racer bikes are specially designed for swift mobility in high-traffic zones and will be deployed at congestion-prone intersections and choke points. Each bike comes equipped with advanced technology, including a wireless handset, breath analyser, and digital speedometer—tools aimed at enabling faster response, improved enforcement, and effective crowd control.

Speaking at the launch, Commissioner Sengar said, “This initiative is part of our broader mission to make Lucknow’s roads safer and more efficient. These bikes will help our officers reach the scene quickly and manage jams proactively.”
The deployment of these bikes is expected to reduce delays, enhance road safety, and ensure a quick and agile traffic response mechanism across the city’s busiest stretches.
