Lucknow| In a major initiative towards women’s safety and empowerment, the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, under the visionary leadership of Police Commissioner Shri Amrendra Kumar Sengar, organized a special district-level conference at Moon Hall, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow as part of Mission Shakti 5.0.
The conference focused on “Women’s Safety and Dignity” and highlighted cybercrime prevention, women helpline services, legal rights, digital awareness, and empowerment initiatives.
Representatives from the Police Department, Women & Child Welfare Department, UNICEF, educational institutions, NGOs, and universities actively participated, creating a strong platform for collaboration.

“Women’s Safety and Dignity: Challenges and Solutions in the Digital Age”
Key Highlights:
1. Cybercrime Awareness
SI Adil and the Lucknow Cyber Cell team educated participants on online fraud, social media hacking, data theft, and cyberbullying, explaining how to report incidents via the National Cyber Helpline 1930.
2. Importance of Helpline Services
- DCP Women Crime Mamta Rani Chaudhary and DSP Vinod Yadav (1090) detailed the functioning of Women Power Line 1090 and Emergency Service 112.
- Addl. SP D.K. Puri (112) emphasized the effectiveness of the Emergency Response System and encouraged citizens to use these services without hesitation.
3. Women & Child Welfare Schemes
DPO Sudhakar Sharan Pandey explained services provided through One Stop Centers including legal aid, shelter, medical care, counselling, and rehabilitation.

4. One Stop Center Team
They highlighted how all support services for violence-affected women are provided under one roof for immediate relief.
5. UNICEF Participation
Ms. Rizwana Parveen (UNICEF) stressed the importance of women and child rights, health, education, and self-reliance, calling for joint efforts from government and society for true empowerment.

To build confidence, enhance awareness of rights, promote digital vigilance, and encourage active use of safety helplines among women and youth.
