Lucknow Police Bust Inter-State Vehicle Theft Ring, 21 Motorcycles Recovered

LUCKNOW, UTTAR PRADESH – The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has dismantled a large inter-state vehicle theft gang, leading to the arrest of six individuals and the apprehension of one minor. Police have recovered a total of 21 stolen motorcycles from the gang.

Acting on a tip-off, police received information that several vehicle thieves had gathered in a forest area near Bari Road to dispose of stolen vehicles. A police team quickly cordoned off the area and apprehended seven individuals.

During interrogation, the suspects were identified as Junaid, Aras, Vansha Gupta, Rahul Gupta, Salman, and Javed, in addition to one minor. The gang confessed to stealing vehicles from various districts, including Sitapur, Barabanki, and Lucknow. They also revealed that they would immediately change the number plates of the stolen vehicles to evade police.

The police have registered a case against all the accused under the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and are currently investigating their criminal history.

Recovered Vehicles

The 21 recovered motorcycles include various models such as Hero Splendor, HF Deluxe, Apache, and Kawasaki Boxer. A scooter with a removed number plate was also among the vehicles found.
