Lucknow — In a joint operation, the Vibhutikhand Police and the Eastern Crime Branch have arrested three seasoned burglars accused of breaking into houses and shops across the city. The gang would identify locked properties, break open locks, and steal valuables.
Stolen Items Recovered
From the possession of the accused, police seized:
- Gold- and silver-colored jewelry
- ₹11,140 in cash
- Several expensive household items
- Iron rods and screwdrivers used in burglaries
- A Yamaha R15 motorcycle without a number plate
Recent Incidents
On August 12, a burglary was reported at the home of Shivani Verma in the Vibhutikhand area. After technical surveillance and manual investigation, police tracked down the suspects and arrested them on August 17 near the PNB Residential Complex (Visheshkhand).

During interrogation, the accused confessed to another burglary in a locked house in the Vikasnagar area just days earlier.

The Accused
- Satish Kashyap (22), resident of Deen Dayal Colony, Indiranagar
- Yusuf Ansari (23), resident of Deen Dayal Colony, Indiranagar
- Nadeem (21), resident of Meerganj, Bahraich (currently staying in Indiranagar)
Criminal Background
- Satish Kashyap already faces multiple cases, including theft and POCSO-related charges.
- Yusuf Ansari and Nadeem also have several theft and criminal cases registered against them.
Their Modus Operandi
According to police, the trio used to keep watch on closed houses and shops. Once they found an opportunity, they would break the locks and steal cash and jewelry, later selling the stolen items to passersby. The money was used to fund their lifestyle and drug habits.
Police Team Behind the Arrest
The arrests were made through a combined effort of the DCP East Crime Team and Vibhutikhand Police. The team included Inspector Amarnath Chaurasia, Pramod Chaudhary, Sandeep Singh Gaur, and several other officers.
