Lucknow: In a swift action, the Kaiserbagh police under the Lucknow Police Commissionerate’s Western Zone on Sunday arrested an accused who was wanted in a cybercrime case under the Information Technology (IT) Act.
According to an official press release, the arrest was made in connection with NBW Case No. 30801/2021, FIR No. 69/2021, filed under Section 66 of the IT Act. The warrant for the arrest had been issued by the Hon’ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lucknow, Special CJM (Customs), and was executed promptly by the police team.

The police team arrested Shivam Gupta at around 1:30 PM on May 4, 2025, from his residence in Saketpuri, Alambagh. He had been evading arrest in the ongoing case related to cyber offenses.
