Lucknow– Cricket enthusiasts in Lucknow are in for a treat as Lucknow Metro announces extended train services till 12:30 AM on evening match days of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during the Indian Premier League 2026.
The move aims to ensure safe, convenient, and late-night travel for spectators attending matches at Ekana Stadium, where metro connectivity will be complemented with feeder bus services from Transport Nagar and Indira Nagar Metro Stations. The buses will operate from 3:00 PM onwards at 15-minute intervals and will also shuttle fans back after the match ends.
UPMRC, the official connectivity partner of LSG, has confirmed that this will be the fourth consecutive year of midnight services for cricket fans. Sushil Kumar, Managing Director, UPMRC, emphasized the focus on passenger comfort, safety, and a seamless travel experience, stating:
“Our objective is not just to provide transportation, but to offer every passenger a world-class and memorable experience. I urge all fans to make the most of Lucknow Metro’s midnight services and make your IPL moments even more special.”
The extended metro services will be available on the following match dates: 1 April, 22 April, 26 April, 7 May, 15 May, and 23 May 2026, ensuring fans enjoy uninterrupted travel before and after the game.
