Lucknow– The Amren Foundation, in collaboration with Kopal Production, presented a special theatrical evening titled “Lafzon Ki Gathri – Kuch Panne Part 2” at the Sant Gadge Ji Maharaj Auditorium, Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. The 90-minute performance, directed by acclaimed theatre personality Seema Bhargava Pahwa, showcased a collection of powerful stories inspired by timeless works of India’s finest literary minds.
The evening brought together three poignant plays:

Badi Didi
Adapted from Munshi Premchand’s Bade Bhai Sahab, this heartwarming tale explored sibling rivalry and sisterhood with humor and sensitivity. The play, performed by Manukriti Pahwa and Jaya Virli, beautifully highlighted love, admiration, and discipline in a sibling bond. -
Akeli
Based on a story by Mannu Bhandari, this moving solo performance by Anubha Fatehpura portrayed the struggles of Soma Bua, an elderly woman abandoned by her family, grappling with loneliness while yearning for relevance and connection. -
Yaadein
Written by Bhisham Sahni, the play starred Ratna Pathak Shah and Seema Bhargava Pahwa in a soul-stirring narrative about two old friends reuniting in the twilight of their lives, reliving cherished memories, and finding depth in the silences that speak louder than words.
Speaking on the occasion, Renuka Tandon, President of Amren Foundation, said: “Through Lafzon Ki Gathri, our aim is to bring meaningful theatre that not only entertains but also encourages reflection and dialogue.”
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Professor Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Aradhana Shukla, Renuka Tandon, Pooja Prasad & Sanjay Prasad, Mukesh Meshram, Ambrish Tandon, Ashish Goyal, Vibha Singh, Prof. Jayante Khot, Prof. Mandavi Singh, Dr. Shobhit Kumar Nahar, Sunita Aron, Itishree Mishra, along with the Amren Foundation’s dedicated core team members Vandana Agrawal, Vipul Gaur, Anju Narayan, Vibha Agrawal, Rachna Tandon, Usha Vishwakarma, Deepak, Vikas, Laxmi, and Sangeeta Banerjee.
The evening received resounding applause from the audience, marking another milestone in Amren Foundation’s mission to promote art, culture, and social dialogue in Lucknow.
