Lucknow — In celebration of International Yoga Day, the Lucknow Academy of Pediatrics, in association with Coronation Infotech, organized a vibrant and energizing yoga event at Janeshwar Mishra Park. Held from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, the gathering saw enthusiastic participation from nearly 80 pediatricians, Coronation Infotech team members, and their families.
The morning began with a warm welcome by Dr. Shalini Bhasin, President of the Lucknow Academy of Pediatrics, who spoke about the relevance of yoga in today’s fast-paced life.
“Yoga teaches us how to breathe properly, move with awareness, and stay mentally calm amidst everyday chaos,” she said. “In a world dominated by long office hours, high stress, excess screen time, and unhealthy eating habits, yoga brings much-needed balance to our bodies and minds.”
Dr. Salman Khan echoed the sentiment, noting that yoga not only helps reduce blood pressure and anxiety but also improves posture and fosters self-awareness.
Dr. Ashish Verma, Treasurer of the Academy, encouraged participants to take short yoga breaks during work hours, highlighting the benefits of simple stretches, breathing exercises, and brief meditation sessions.
The event included a walkathon, followed by a guided yoga session led by instructor Rahul, who took the participants through a series of stretches and meditative techniques. The session concluded with light refreshments and a collective commitment to integrate yoga into daily routines.
Participants left the event feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and reminded of the timeless value yoga offers for physical and mental well-being.
