Lord Parashuram’s Statue Installation Ceremony Held at Parashuram Chowk

Lucknow: The Pragatishil Brahmin Kalyan Samiti organized the grand installation ceremony of Lord Parashuram’s statue at Parashuram Chowk, located in Sector 6, Vrindavan Yojana. The statue was installed by Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh.

During the event, MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh announced that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would unveil the statue digitally on March 10. He also appreciated the efforts of the Pragatishil Brahmin Kalyan Samiti for enhancing the beauty of Parashuram Chowk and emphasized further beautification to make it even more attractive.

The ceremony was presided over by Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, who hailed the installation of Lord Parashuram’s statue as a historic event. She commended the efforts of the committee members and assured that the Lucknow Municipal Corporation would contribute to making the chowk more appealing.

The event featured distinguished guest and senior poet Dr. Shivom Ambar from Farrukhabad, who spoke about the life and virtues of Lord Parashuram. He highlighted that Lord Parashuram is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and embodies the balance between knowledge and weaponry. He urged that Lord Parashuram’s teachings should not be limited to the Brahmin community but should inspire all sections of society.

Several eminent personalities graced the occasion, including Brahmin Parivar President Shivshankar Awasthi, former MLC Guddu Tripathi, BJP leader Govind Pandey, Cantonment Board members Pramod Sharma and Mukesh Sharma, among others. Special attendees included Ramshankar Tripathi and Rajendra Vajpayee.

The guests were warmly welcomed by Councillor Rajni Awasthi and other committee officials, while the vote of thanks was delivered by committee president Dr. A.P. Mishra. The event proceedings were conducted by Pranav Agnihotri.
