Lucknow: Employees of urban local bodies submitted a memorandum highlighting their long-pending service-related issues, drawing the attention of the state government towards the grievances faced by lakhs of municipal employees across Uttar Pradesh.
On behalf of the federation representing lakhs of local body employees and their family members in the state, the employees welcomed the concerned authority on their arrival in the state capital, Lucknow, and simultaneously urged the government to take note of their unresolved problems. The federation stated that for the past seven to eight years, no positive decision or concrete order has been issued by the state government or administration to address the issues of local body employees, leading to growing resentment and agitation among the workforce.
The memorandum pointed out that despite repeated correspondence in the past, the problems of municipal employees remain unresolved. The federation said that employees have been compelled to resort to protests due to prolonged neglect of their service-related demands.

Reiterating their appeal, the federation expressed hope that timely intervention, guidance and support would be extended to resolve the issues affecting lakhs of local body employees in the state. The employees urged the authorities to take necessary action at the earliest to ensure justice and relief for the workforce and their families.
