Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will launch its One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme from April 18, 2026, with a dedicated help desk to assist applicants and ensure wider outreach among defaulters.
In a review meeting held, LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar directed officials to prepare a comprehensive list of all defaulters and ensure that information about the scheme reaches every eligible person.
To maximize awareness, officials have been assigned specific targets. The call centre and IT cell will contact defaulters through phone calls, SMS, and emails. In cases where digital communication fails, physical letters will be sent to ensure no beneficiary is left uninformed.
A special help desk will be set up at the single-window counter on the ground floor of the LDA Bhavan. Dedicated operators will be deployed to guide applicants, provide detailed information about the scheme, and facilitate the online application process.
Relief from Penal Interest
The Vice-Chairman stated that the OTS scheme will cover all types of residential and commercial properties under LDA, including plots allotted to government institutions, schools, charitable organizations, cooperative housing societies, and properties allotted through auction or other methods.

Defaulters who have incurred penal interest due to delayed payments will receive relief under the scheme. They will be allowed to clear their dues with a waiver on penal interest, enabling them to secure ownership of their properties.
Benefit for Map-Related Dues
For the first time, the scheme will also extend relief to applicants with pending dues related to building maps and compounding maps. Those who failed to deposit installments on time will also be eligible for waiver of penal interest.
Key Benefits of the Scheme
- Applications will be resolved within three months from the date of submission.
- Complete waiver of penal interest for the default period; only simple interest will be charged, calculated through software.
- A 2% rebate will be offered if the full OTS amount is deposited within 30 days.
- For dues exceeding ₹50 lakh, one-third of the amount must be paid within 30 days, with the remaining balance payable in three bi-monthly installments over six months.
- In case of delay, an additional one-month window will be provided with applicable penal charges.
The initiative aims to streamline recovery, provide राहत to defaulters, and ensure faster resolution of pending dues while enhancing transparency and efficiency within the authority.
