Bareilly: Annual Progress Report (Compendium) 2024 was issued by Law Department, MJPRU,here today. The Law Department, Rohilkhand University, Bareilly Campus released the Annual Progress Report 2024 of the achievements of the entire year 2024 under the patronage of the Honourable Vice Chancellor. In which cultural programs, seminars, conferences, birthdays of great men, and important achievements of teachers, students and researchers of Law Department have been included.

The entire collection has been edited by the Head of the Department, Dr. Amit Singh. On the release of the compendium by the Law Department for the first time, Vice Chancellor Professor K.P. Singh congratulated the teachers and students of the department and motivated them for better work. The Head of the Department informed the Vice Chancellor that this year 209 students were given admission in various courses in the Law Department, also gave information about the courses run in the Law Department, revenue received from the department, 62 research papers published by the teachers and 06 published books. The Registrar of the University, Sanjeev Kumar Singh also congratulated all the teachers.
This complete annual report gives information about the programs organized in the Law Department, achievements of teachers and students, admission of students and scholars in the year 2024, current courses and upcoming courses and revenue received from the courses run by the Law Department in the year 2024 etc. The entire collection has been divided into three parts.
In the first part, cultural programs, campaigns, birth anniversaries of great men, tribute programs, campaign programs as per government orders, guest lectures, legal camps, fresher parties, farewell parties, legal literacy rallies and celebrations of other important dates have been included, in which National Youth Day, National Voter Day, Ambedkar Jayanti, National Unity Day, National Legal Services Day, Constitution Day, Mahanirvana Day, CGPA Marksheet Distribution Program, Padhe Vishwavidyalaya badhe Vishwavidyalaya Campaign, National Conference etc. 21 programs were organized by the Law Department, in which the National Conference titled New Criminal Law Reforms in India 2023 on 27 July 2024 and Full Week Program on Constitution Day from 21/11/24 to 26/11/24 were the main attractions.

In the second part, the viva-voce presentations of 19 research scholars, Urmila Devi, Chitra Singh, Rudresh, Ramvilas Mohammad Tariq Khan, Vivek Singh, Akhilesh Sharma, Pooja Rani, Vinita Yadav, Atul Mishra, Kamal Kishore, Shivangi etc. and the research done in their research work and related suggestions have been briefly described.
The third section includes the achievements of the teachers and students of the department. Under this, details of published research papers, newspaper articles, books, seminars, conferences, guest lectures of the teachers of the law department and NET and JRF qualified students in the law department are given. In the year 2024, 62 research papers and 17 editing book chapters and 73 dissertation guidance were done by the teachers and 6 books including New Criminal Law Reforms in India by Dr. Amit Singh, Domestic Violence Against Women and Role of Protection Officer by Dr. Shahnaz Akhtar, Scientific Forensics and the Criminal Justice System and Interrogative Approach by Mr. Amit Kumar Singh, Child Rights in India by Dr. Amit Singh and Preeti Verma, Exploring Legal Safeguards for Personality Rights in the Era of Artificial Intelligence by Dr. Amit Singh and Nidhi Shanker have been written*. Among the achievements, 19 researchers were awarded PhD degree in the 22nd Convocation on 14 October 2024.
Gold medals have been awarded to Anmol, Mohit Krishna Vajpayee, Anugunj, toppers of LL.M. Regular, Cyber Law and Human Rights. It is known that the result of students of all courses of Law Department was 100%, 16 edited book chapters were published and 74 papers were presented by teachers and students from Law Department and 26 students have passed NET / JRF examination, seven special invitee lectures and two legal camps were organized by Law Department, in the year 2024, 209 students have taken admission in various courses in Law Department. The revenue received for the entire year through the courses conducted in the Law Department is Rs 1 crore 32 lakh 7500. The department is moving towards better work for the next year 2025. Teachers like Dr. Shahnaz Akhtar, Amit Kumar, Nidhi Shanker, Juhi Naseem, Dr. Anuradha Yadav, Preeti Verma, Praveen Chauhan, Dr. Naeem, Priyadarshini Rawat, Ravikar Yadav, Rashtra vardhan etc. have contributed in preparing this annual report.
