Kusha Kapila Opens Up on the Emotional Challenges of Adolescence

Mumbai – Actress and content creator Kusha Kapila recently shared her thoughts on the emotional ups and downs of adolescence during a conversation with Soha Ali Khan on the podcast All About Her.

Kusha emphasized the importance of open discussions about puberty, noting that adolescence can be a difficult time due to physical changes and societal pressures. “Puberty is a very emotional time for any teenager, especially because your face, body, and appearance are all changing,” she said. She recalled feeling self-conscious when she appeared more “mature than other girls” at the age of 10 or 11.

The actress also highlighted the challenges teens face in navigating social interactions during this period. She shared a personal experience of having to adjust her age when traveling with friends to avoid unwanted attention, underscoring the difficulties many young women face.

Kusha pointed out that insecurity remains common among girls today. She revealed that she still receives questions from schoolgirls seeking advice on clothing choices during puberty and emphasized the physical and emotional toll of the menstrual cycle. “We are having a lot of trouble with our hormones, particularly if you suffer from PCOD, etc., to understand what a rollercoaster may be,” she said.

Through her podcast, Kusha aims to foster more open conversations about adolescence, body image, and emotional health, encouraging teens to navigate this period with greater awareness and support.
