Ayodhya: The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation is making extensive preparations to provide shelter and drinking water to devotees, particularly those arriving after the Kumbh Mela, in order to ensure a comfortable and safe experience. The efforts aim to protect devotees from the chilly weather and provide them with essential amenities, such as shelter, bonfires, restrooms, and clean drinking water at various locations.
Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi highlighted the importance of this initiative, especially for those visiting Ayodhya after their time at Prayagraj’s Kumbh. Devotees often continue their spiritual journey to Ayodhya, where they can take a holy dip in the Saryu River and have darshan of Ram Lala. The municipal corporation is taking steps to ensure that around a lakh devotees who visit daily will have a smooth and seamless experience.

In addition to the preparations in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government has also made special security arrangements for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025. As part of these efforts, the government is deploying mounted police with horses for crowd control. These specially trained horses, including Indian, American, and English breeds, will help manage large crowds during the event. The horses undergo a rigorous six-month training program to ensure their efficiency in handling congested areas, making them well-suited for use during such large-scale gatherings.
