Mumbai | The magic of the legendary duo – superstar Amitabh Bachchan and evergreen singer Kishore Kumar – will come alive in Mumbai on October 4, 2025, with a grand musical tribute titled Mahanayak Mahagayak – Kishore Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.
Organized by SPP Productions and international live show director Anil Bohra, the event will take place at the iconic Shri Shanmukhananda Auditorium in Mumbai. The evening promises to recreate the nostalgia of an era when Kishore’s timeless voice gave life to Amitabh’s towering screen presence.
Renowned playback singer Chintan Bakiwala, who rose to fame with the reality show K for Kishore, will lead the stage, bringing to life Kishore’s voice and Amitabh’s persona. Joining him will be Ishita Vishwakarma, winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (2019) and first runner-up of India’s Got Talent (2022). Known as the “Chhoti Lata” for her renditions of Lata Mangeshkar’s classics across India and abroad, Ishita made her Bollywood playback debut alongside Arijit Singh in the film Pyaar Hai Toh Hai (2023).
Adding to the grandeur will be celebrated singer Sudesh Bhosle, who has long been associated with lending his voice to Amitabh Bachchan’s songs. Speaking at a press conference, Bhosle expressed excitement about the event, saying, “A show based on the Kishore-Amitabh pairing will be an unforgettable experience for audiences.” He also recalled his successful collaborations with Anil Bohra Entertainment in the United States and other countries.
Anil Bohra, who has earlier curated acclaimed shows featuring the music of Laxmikant–Pyarelal and concerts with Kishore Kumar’s sons and granddaughter, shares a deep bond with the Kumar family. With this event, he aims to celebrate one of Bollywood’s most iconic on-screen and off-screen partnerships.
The press conference for the show was held at Gravity Studio in Mumbai. Event marketing and promotions are being handled by Shabbir Sheikh of Fortune Lifeline Media Entertainments.
The evening promises a nostalgic journey, where timeless tunes and golden memories of Kishore and Amitabh will once again echo across Mumbai.
