Lucknow — Khun Khun Ji Girls’ Degree College, located in Chowk, has launched free dance and sewing classes for its students, turning summer vacations into a period of skill-building and personal growth.
Principal Dr. Anshu Kedia shared that the dance classes began on June 18, while sewing classes commenced on June 23. The initiative aims to encourage students to make productive use of their holidays by engaging in creative and vocational learning. “Any student can enroll in either or both classes,” Dr. Kedia stated.
The college recognizes that in today’s competitive world, academic knowledge alone is not enough. With this in mind, the free programs are designed to foster self-reliance, creativity, and all-round development among young women.
“These classes are not just extracurricular activities; they are tools for empowerment,” said Dr. Kedia. “By learning new skills, our students can move a step closer to self-sufficiency and confidently take on meaningful roles in society.”
The initiative has been warmly welcomed by students and parents alike, setting a strong example of how educational institutions can play a transformative role beyond traditional academics.
