Kanpur: In Kanpur, KDA bought land worth Rs 13.30 crore for New Kanpur City Yojana. The sellers of land include 11 farmers including the builder. They were given compensation four times more than the DM circle rate. Payment was also made immediately through demand draft.

In order to bring the New Kanpur City Yojana, which was lying in cold storage for a long time, to the ground, the Land Bank Section and Nodal Officer of New Kanpur City, Special Executive Officer Dr. Ravi Pratap Singh bought about 1.52933 hectares of land from 11 farmers Narayan, Anand Kumar Gupta, Director of Dolphin Developers Private Limited, Anand Residency, Kantidevi, Ramesh Chandra, Madan Mohan, Alok Katiyar, Badhu, Ankit Singh etc.

For information, demand drafts of four times the circle rate i.e. thirteen crore thirty lakh sixty nine thousand one hundred sixty rupees were given. On this occasion, Tehsildar of Land Bank Section Dr. Archana Sharma, Ramnath, Naib Tehsildar Mauji Lal, Amani Santosh Kumar, Ramlal etc. were present. The Special Executive Officer said that in the next phase, 3.1 hectares of land will be purchased from 30 farmers. The process has been started by the Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition).

A compensation of Rs. 16 crore will be given for this. Land will be acquired from those who do not give it legally: Special Executive Officer Dr. Ravi Pratap Singh said that the farmers who will not sell their land to the authority with consent, their land will be acquired under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013 and Rules 2016. Its process has been started by the Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition).
