Public Applauds Historic Initiative, Calls for National Honour
Lucknow/Ghazipur – In a remarkable display of determination and grassroots leadership, social worker Kalika Yadav from Kyampur Chhawani village under the Muhammadabad Assembly and Ballia Lok Sabha constituencies has carved his name in history. Emulating the spirit of Bihar’s Dashrath Manjhi, Yadav has led the construction of a bridge over the Magai River—without any government aid or support from elected representatives.
What makes this achievement truly historic is that the entire project is being funded through public donations, with locals rallying behind Yadav’s mission to solve one of the region’s longest-standing problems. The bridge, once completed, will connect over 50 villages, drastically improving mobility and local livelihoods.
When Sujit Yadav, District President of the All India Yadav Mahasabha, along with Acting President Ramgyan Singh Yadav, visited the site during a concrete laying ceremony, they were left in awe. “Just like Dashrath Manjhi carved a path through a mountain, Kalika Yadav has brought distant villages closer through sheer willpower. He deserves recognition from the President of India,” Sujit Yadav declared.
Present at the occasion were Ramkrit Yadav, former Block Pramukh and Yadav Mahasabha guide, Madan Yadav, ex-Legislative Council candidate, Ramakant Yadav, farmer leader Lallan Yadav, and office in-charge Ajay Yadav, all echoing the sentiment that Kalika Yadav’s initiative is both an inspiration and a lesson for public representatives.
