Lucknow: The Kaiserbagh Police Station arrested three alleged offenders and seized 200 bottles of illegal Haryana-manufactured English liquor during a raid.
Acting on a tip-off from an informant, the police team raided Diamond Hotel under the jurisdiction of Kaiserbagh Police Station at around 7:30 pm. During the operation, three accused were apprehended with a large consignment of liquor reportedly meant for illegal distribution.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sunil (34), a resident of Raxaul, East Champaran district, Bihar; Rahul Kumar Pasi (20), a resident of Chakia, East Champaran district, Bihar; and Shubham Patel (21), a resident of Pakdi Asli, Sahibganj police station area, Muzaffarpur district, Bihar.
Police recovered 123 bottles of Royal Stag, 61 bottles of Blenders Pride, 8 bottles of Signature, and 8 bottles of Red Label — totaling 200 bottles of English liquor manufactured in Haryana.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly disclosed that due to the liquor prohibition in Bihar and the upcoming festive season, they had been transporting illegal liquor from Haryana for sale in Bihar. The trio was staying at the hotel with the consignment when the police acted on the information and carried out the arrest.

A case (Crime No. 36/2026) has been registered under Section 60 of the Excise Act at Kaiserbagh Police Station, Lucknow. Further legal proceedings are underway, and authorities are verifying the criminal backgrounds of the accused.
The arresting team included Sub-Inspector Arvind Kumar, Sub-Inspector Ramkesh Singh, Sub-Inspector Adityanath Upadhyay, Sub-Inspector Kashi Singh Kushwaha, Constable Karamchandra, and Constable Anish Verma.
Police officials stated that strict vigilance will continue against the illegal transportation and sale of liquor in the region.
