Bareilly: Journalists from print and electronic media were felicitated at a special ceremony held at the Sports Complex of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University as part of the university’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. The event recognized the valuable role played by media professionals in widely covering the institution’s activities during its 50th anniversary year.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. P. Singh presented mementos to journalists in appreciation of their contribution. Expressing gratitude to the media, he said their positive and consistent coverage had significantly helped highlight the university’s achievements and progress.

Prof. Singh noted that the university’s recent academic advancements, including receiving an A++ accreditation from NAAC and improvements in national rankings, were supported by constructive media engagement. He urged journalists to continue extending their cooperation in the future.
The Vice-Chancellor also informed that the University Grants Commission has recently approved several new online and offline courses for the university. Admissions for these programmes are currently underway, and interested students can apply through the university’s official website.
Sports Secretary Prof. S. S. Bedi highlighted the university’s sporting achievements and said the media has played an important role in boosting the morale of athletes by giving wide coverage to sports activities.


Earlier, Media Incharge Dr. Vinay Verma welcomed the journalists and emphasized that the media acts as a bridge between the university and society by effectively communicating developments in education, research, and sports.
Senior journalists present at the event appreciated the positive transformation witnessed at the university over the past five years. The programme was conducted by Co-Media Incharge Dr. Vinay Singhal.
Members of the university’s media cell, including Dr. Akhtar Hussain and Dr. Tapan Verma, along with several journalists and faculty members, were also present at the ceremony.
