Ranchi– In a major reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has transferred 30 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across the state, including top officials, in a move aimed at reorganizing the state police hierarchy. Notably, DGP Anurag Gupta has been relieved of his additional charges as Director General of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
According to a notification issued late Thursday night, several key appointments and transfers have been effected:
Rakesh Ranjan, previously SP of Chaibasa, has been appointed as the new SSP of Ranchi.
Prashant Singh, DG of Wireless, will now hold additional charge as DG, Headquarters.
Priya Dubey, JAIP ADG, has been appointed ADG of the ACB.
Chandan Kumar Singh has been named DIG of the ACB.
Suman Gupta has been appointed ADG, Railway.
Manoj Kaushik, IG Ranchi, is now IG-CID.
Kranti Kumar Gaddheshi, IG Bokaro, has been assigned IG-Human Rights.
Narendra Kumar Singh will serve as IG, Jharkhand Electricity Board, overseeing Vigilance and Security.
Shailendra Sinha, IG Dumka, has been posted as IG Palamu.
Sudarshan Mandal, IG CID, will take charge as IG Headquarters with additional responsibility as Jail IG.
Sunil Bhaskar has been named Zonal IG, Bokaro.
Patel Mayur Kanhaiyalal, Provisional IG, has been appointed Zonal IG, Dumka.
At the DIG level, notable changes include:
Sanjeev Kumar, DIG CID, is now DIG SIB.
Shailendra Prasad Varnwal appointed DIG, ACB.
Manoj Ratan Chothe named DIG, Special Branch.
Naushad Alam Ansari, DIG Palamu, has been transferred to Police Headquarters.
Chandan Kumar Sinha, former SSP Ranchi, appointed DIG, ACB.

Ajit Peter Dungdung, SP Deoghar, has been appointed Joint Director, Jharkhand Police Academy, Hazaribagh, until further orders.
