Lucknow: The campus of Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus came alive with colour, rhythm, and boundless enthusiasm as it hosted its Annual Function ‘Jhalak’ 2026—a truly special edition that also marked a decade of excellence, growth, and holistic education at the school. Celebrating ten glorious years of nurturing young minds, the event was a splendid cultural extravaganza that truly stole the show. It was a feast for the senses, celebrating the soul of India in all its glory. This year’s theme, “Vande Bharat”, symbolised the iconic train that not only connects destinations but also weaves together India’s people, traditions, and cultural heritage—beautifully portraying unity in diversity and reaffirming that India’s strength lies in its togetherness.
The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (Medical Education, Medical Health, Family Welfare, Mother and Child Welfare), as the Chief Guest. The occasion was further dignified by the presence of Gaurav Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Lucknow Division, North Eastern Railway; Mahesh Agarwal, Chairman, Goel Group of Institutions; Tulika Anand Charan, Deputy General Manager, Seth M. R. Jaipuria Schools; Dr. Rina Pathak, Principal; and Anita Gupta, Vice Principal, who warmly welcomed the Chief Guest and dignitaries. Principals of eminent schools and parents also joined the celebration, adding grace to the occasion.

As the Chief Guest arrived, students welcomed the dignitaries with the chanting of a Sanskrit shloka, setting an auspicious and serene tone. A meaningful ceremonial act titled “Water – The Purifier”, where water was poured into an empty vessel, conveyed a powerful message of purity, sustainability, and social responsibility. The dignitaries were felicitated with thoughtfully crafted mementoes as a token of respect and gratitude.
The programme opened with a mesmerising welcome dance, followed by an address by Mahesh Agarwal, who extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, parents, and students. Reflecting on the school’s ten-year journey, he highlighted its steady progress, value-based education, and commitment to academic and co-curricular excellence. One of the highlights of the evening was the artistic journey across India’s Eastern, Northern, Western, and Southern regions, brought alive through a seamless blend of dance and drama. The grace of the East, the vibrant energy of the North, the colourful folk traditions of the West, and the classical devotion of the South were portrayed with remarkable finesse. Dazzling costumes, rhythmic music, and expressive storytelling struck a chord with the audience, making the Vande Bharat theme truly come full circle.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest motivated students to aim high, work hard, and uphold strong values, reminding them that success comes to those who leave no stone unturned. The school proudly felicitated its achievers—Ojas Dixit and Aditi Singh for their success in CLAT and AILET, and Medhansh, Abhiraj, Ujjawal, and Ojas for winning prizes in the UP Tourism Quiz Competition. Special accolades were also conferred upon Manya Srivastava, who brought laurels to the institution by winning a National Award under the INSPIRE Awards, and Khyati Srivastava and Ayushman Shukla for their commendable achievements, including recognition in HP SMART CHAMPS – Season 1 (2025). All the felicitated students were honoured with certificates, mementoes, and cash awards.
The grand finale stole the hearts of the audience when the students, filled with pride and patriotism, rendered the National Anthem, beautifully expressed through sign language for students with hearing impairment. The soulful presentation conveyed a powerful message of inclusivity, sensitivity, and national unity, leaving the audience deeply moved and earning a thunderous applause.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Rina Pathak, who appreciated the tireless efforts of students, teachers, staff, and parents. Celebrating ten remarkable years and looking ahead with renewed vision, the celebration ended on a high note, making ‘Jhalak’ 2026 a resounding success and a memorable tribute to India’s cultural richness, unity, and the school’s inspiring decade-long journey.
