Lucknow – A daring theft took place at Shubh Jewellers, located at Sugamou crossing under the Indira Nagar police station area, where thieves cut open the shop’s shutter and made away with jewellery worth approximately ₹15 lakhs. The incident occurred late at night and was discovered by the shop’s owner, Ramkumar Verma, early the next morning.
According to Verma, the stolen items included an array of gold and silver jewellery that he had recently acquired to prepare for the festive season. “This is a huge loss,” Verma stated, adding that the thieves seem to have meticulously planned the break-in.
The entire incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV cameras, showing the thieves working quickly and methodically. The footage has been handed over to the police, who have launched an investigation.
Local authorities have increased surveillance in the area, and the Indira Nagar police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby establishments to identify any leads on the culprits.
