Governor Kotaro Nagasaki Leads MoU Signing for Tourism, Energy, and Sustainability Collaboration.
Lucknow: Ahead of signing a MoU with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, an eight member Japanese delegation welcomed by UP Tourism department on Monday morning.
The delegation led by Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor, and Yamanashi Prefecture signed an MoU with CM Yogi Adityanath later in the evening.
The MoU at promoting mutual growth in the area of Tourism, Energy, Human resources and sustainability.
Praising the initiative between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi state in Japan, Uttar Pradesh Minister of Tourism and Culture Jaiveer Singh said, “Uttar Pradesh is now leading every sector in the country and as a result delegation from various countries are entering into partnership for mutual benefit. I welcome the Governor from Yamanashi state in Japan and look forward to a fruitful partnership for achieving common goal of promoting tourism, business and sustainability.”

At the event a presentation was delivered by Prakhar Mishra, Director Tourism, Uttar Pradesh, showcasing the tourism places of Uttar Pradesh like Ayodhya, Varanasi and Buddhist circuit including Sarnath, Kushinagar, Sankisa, Sravasti, Kaushambi and Kapilvastu. At the event, Sanjay Prasad, Principal Secretary, Chief Minister and Information and Principal Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Tourism, Mukesh Meshram were also present.
As a mark of remembrance to their visit in Lucknow, the delegation was presented with a souvenir from Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Buddha rice. The rice also known as Kala Namak is grown by women of self-help group in Sidhharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
The Buddha rice was a gift from Lord Buddha to the people, who told people that the rice would remind people of him after he attains Mahaparinirvana.
