Lucknow: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, has kicked off its Orientation and Induction Program (OIP) 2024, welcoming the fresh batch of first-year PGDM, PGDM (FS), and PGDM (RM) students for the 2024-26 academic session. The program, running from July 1 to July 13, is a pivotal step in guiding new students through the commencement of their professional journeys in management education.
Designed to foster a smooth transition into the dynamic field of management, the OIP provides an in-depth understanding of the institution’s culture, values, and high expectations. The diverse cohort, hailing from various backgrounds and specializations, will benefit from the wealth of perspectives and experiences brought by their peers.
The highlight of the third day of the program was the Inaugural session, featuring addresses by two eminent guests and industry stalwarts: Suresh Narayanan, Chairman & Managing Director at Nestlé India Limited, and DivyaMehra, Senior Group Vice President & Head of Business Operations at MotilalOswal Financial Services Ltd., who is also an esteemed alumnus of Jaipuria Lucknow (Batch of 2005).
Inspiring Leadership and Corporate Readiness
Suresh Narayanan, renowned for his transformative leadership at Nestlé India, spoke on “Leadership in a volatile world”. His session emphasized the importance of adaptability, ethical leadership, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Drawing from his extensive experience, Mr. Narayanan inspired the new batch to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation.
“You live in the times where anticipation and agility are even more important than AI”, he said.

Divya Mehra, with his rich background in financial services and as a proud Jaipuria Lucknow alumnus, offered a compelling narrative of his professional journey. His address highlighted the critical role of strategic thinking, resilience, and continuous learning in achieving success.He encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones and explore new opportunities. He motivated them to actively participate in college activities for holistic learning and emphasized the importance of staying updated with industry trends. Additionally, he discussed various aspects of sales and the significance of understanding customer expectations.”Never stop learning. Whatever you learn, always think about what you can learn next”, he said.
