IVRI Hosts Live Telecast of 22nd Installment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi

Bareilly: The Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, hosted a live telecast program today for the 22nd installment of the Prime Minister’s Farmer Welfare Scheme (PM-KISAN). During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from Guwahati, Assam, transferred the installment amount directly to 9.32 crore farmer families across India through direct benefit transfer. The program was organized by IVRI in collaboration with the State Agriculture Department.

The event was attended by  M.P. Arya, MLA, Nawabganj, Bareilly, and  Sujit Kumar, District President, Kisan Union, Bareilly, along with officials and staff from the State Agriculture Department and 221 local farmers who participated enthusiastically.

Dr. Roopsi Tiwari, Joint Director (Extension Education) at IVRI, chaired the program and explained that the nationwide PM-KISAN scheme provides direct financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year to support farmers’ agricultural expenses. She highlighted the government’s initiatives aimed at farmer empowerment and elaborated on IVRI’s ongoing contributions in animal science and agricultural research for national benefit.

During the ceremony, 10 farmers from Bareilly district were honored with the Progressive Farmer Award for their outstanding contributions to agriculture. Dr. H.R. Meena, In-Charge, Agricultural Science, expressed gratitude to all guests, participating farmers, and IVRI staff, acknowledging their cooperation in making the program a success.

The event was also attended by IVRI’s joint directors, scientists, and officers.
