Israeli defense minister announces ‘new chapter’ of warfare

Lebanon: The defence minister of Israel has officially announced the beginning of a “new phase” of the conflict, as Israel redirects its attention towards the northern front against Hezbollah insurgents in Lebanon. During his address to Israeli soldiers on Wednesday, Yoav Gallant did not cite the enigmatic detonations of electrical devices in Lebanon that had occurred in recent days. However, he commended the efforts of Israel’s military and security services, stating that “the outcomes are profoundly remarkable.”

The speaker said that during an extended period of conflict with Hamas terrorists in Gaza, there is a noticeable change in the focus towards the northern region via the reallocation of resources and military personnel.

“We are embarking on a new stage in the conflict, which demands bravery, resolve, and tenacity,” he said.

The declaration from Isarael was made one hour after hand-held radios used by the militant organization Hezbollah exploded nationwide, resulting in the deaths of nine individuals.

According to a statement from the ministry, the recent surge of walkie-talkie explosions resulted in the deaths of nine individuals and caused injuries to over 300 others.

A security source has disclosed that Hezbollah acquired handheld radios around five months ago, coinciding with the procurement of the hacked pagers.
