ISFJ Day 3: Techvista Sets the Stage for Technology and Talent

Lucknow: Amidst the lively backdrop of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, the air was charged with excitement as the 10th annual TechVista kicked off. On the third day of the Inter School Jaipuria Fest, 23 top schools from Lucknow came together with nearly 350 students, all guided and led by SMRJ, Gomti Nagar students themselves. Innovation flourished in every space, igniting waves of creativity and technical brilliance.

Chief Guest, Dr. Deepak Singh, Associate Professor at IIIT Lucknow and Alumnus of IIT Kanpur, shared with the audience how he served as one of the judges in the very first edition of TechVista. In his speech, he also emphasized that AI should be harnessed with wisdom.

He shared, “I am impressed by the questions that were asked and how you students tackled them. AI was also thoroughly talked about today, at Techvista. Artificial Intelligence begins with data and progresses through information to knowledge. But true power lies in wisdom, also known as ‘Vivek’. That means knowing how and when to apply that knowledge. Like the creation of the atomic bomb showed us, technology itself is neutral; it is wisdom that determines its impact. AI, when guided by wisdom, can transform our world for good, but without it, the risks are real. So dear students I encourage you to use AI thoughtfully, not blindly.”

The programming and problem-solving front saw intense competition with Codex Jr bringing together Class 8–9 coders, while Code-Wiz challenged participants to debug and design efficient programs in Java and C++. Across the labs, students were spotted immersed in lines of complex code, racing against time to crack algorithms, debug stubborn errors, and piece together logic with remarkable focus and determination.

The Techvertise event saw participants develop eye-catching digital advertisements for an energy drink. Their imaginative approaches and taglines won over the judges.

The marathon hackathon, Code Rush, pushed senior students to create full-fledged applications within 24 hours.
Reason Treason tested analytical minds with puzzles, riddles, and real-life problem-solving challenges. Within tight time limits, teams had to juggle multiple tasks at once, decoding logical patterns and cracking analytical riddles.

Adding yet another dimension, GameCon enthralled gaming enthusiasts with adrenaline-filled PC and console tournaments. Students battled it out in fast‑paced Mortal Kombat duels before shifting gears to intense FIFA face‑offs

The knowledge and debate arena was equally charged with Bitskrieg, a quiz that felt more like a buzzing marketplace than a classroom. The air was filled with excitement as teams went head-to-head over questions on software, IT buzzwords, hardware, history of technology, famous logos, and even the CEOs of global companies.

Clash of Titans, a two-stage debate spanning Oxford-style arguments to Asian Parliamentary debates, had speakers tackling complex motions on technology, AI, and ethics with vigor.

Meanwhile, Glitch-Tales, a plot-twist storytelling competition, fused literature with technology, challenging participants to improvise stories live on stage.

Middle schoolers showed their linguistic skills in LexiQuest, the spelling bee competition, where they spelled tough words like Chrysanthemum, Reconnaissance, Xenotransplantation and many more with great finesse and confidence. On the creative front, students showcased their artistic side through a wide spectrum of challenges. Audio Atelier students composed their very own music and Director’s Cut tested their editing skills in sound and video. A participant created an impressive teaser edit of the movie F1 starring Brad Pitt.

In the event Keynote, students from Classes 6 and 7 were challenged to deliver spontaneous PowerPoint presentations fueled by research and creativity. They explored the topic “Challenges and ethical concerns surrounding artificial intelligence”.
In Weave a Web, students showcased their technical knowhow by using tools like Bootstrap, Animate.css, icon packs, and custom color palettes to build a fully functional online bookstore website from scratch, complete with categories, book details, and even a virtual library section.

For those with a flair for writing and reporting, Hermes Troops gave students the responsibility of being on-ground journalists, during which students designed, a full newsletter covering the day’s events, complete with articles and images captured during the fest.

In TradeMarked, students took on the challenge of designing logos for real-world companies, including a water brand, a Medicare company, an energy reserve company, and more.

In Metamorphosis, students put their creativity into digital photo editing as they designed cool graphic posters of the band Queens. The participants worked with the images provided and transformed them artistic posters.

ClickVista turned the school into a canvas for student photographers, who captured imaginative and artistic frames of life across the school campus.

The event Meme-o-Graphy added humor by turning TechVista moments into witty memes. From memes on the crew to the directors to the struggles of coding were seen turned into memes.

The day ended with the much-awaited closing ceremony, where winners were announced.

Modern Academy School secured the first position, while CMS Gomti Nagar, First Branch, achieved second place at Techvista 2025.
