International Yoga Day Celebrated at Revenue Council Under the Leadership of Chairman Anil Kumar

Lucknow: The 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Revenue Council of Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of  Chairman  Anil Kumar.

On this special occasion,  Anil Kumar introduced all officials and employees to the foundational yogic principle from Maharishi Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra – “Yogashchittavrittinirodhah” – explaining how yoga serves to control the fluctuations of the mind. He provided in-depth training and insight into the philosophical dimensions of yoga, elaborating on the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi.

The Chairman emphasized that yoga is not merely physical exercise, but a holistic discipline that promotes the regulation of the body, mind, and consciousness. He urged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily lives and commit to consistent practice for overall well-being and inner balance.

The yoga session saw active participation from all officers and staff of the Revenue Council, reflecting a collective commitment to wellness and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
