Interio by Godrej Launches Experience Centre in Lucknow, Eyes 15% Growth in North India Institutional Furniture Segment

Lucknow | Interio by Godrej, the flagship furniture brand of Godrej Enterprises Group, has launched a new experience centre in Lucknow as part of its strategy to expand its institutional furniture business across Uttar Pradesh and North India.

Spread across 3,300 square feet, the newly opened centre is designed to cater to the evolving needs of corporate offices, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and government organizations. The facility aims to provide an immersive platform for clients to explore modern, ergonomic, and modular workspace solutions.

Strengthening Presence in a High-Growth Market

Uttar Pradesh currently contributes nearly 25% to Interio’s institutional furniture sales in North India, with the brand generating approximately ₹75 crore in revenue from the state. The company is focusing on key sectors including SMEs, BFSI, education, corporate offices, and multinational companies, driven by rising demand for hybrid and dynamic workspaces.

Sameer Joshi, Senior Vice President and Head of B2B Business at Interio by Godrej, said Lucknow is emerging as a strong hub for institutional and corporate infrastructure development, with increased investments across sectors.

He noted that organizations are increasingly modernizing their workspaces, leading to higher demand for ergonomic and modular furniture tailored to contemporary workstyles. The new experience centre is expected to position the brand as a comprehensive partner—from planning to execution—for institutional clients.

Ambitious Growth Targets

The company has set an ambitious goal of achieving 21% market share in the institutional furniture segment in North India by FY28, with a targeted growth of 15% in the region.

Industry estimates suggest that India’s institutional office furniture market is expected to reach $5.21 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 8–11%, driven by hybrid work models, infrastructure expansion, and increasing focus on employee comfort and productivity.

Rising Demand Across Segments

Ergonomic seating and workstations currently account for nearly 60% of sales in this segment. Meanwhile, education and healthcare sectors are also witnessing strong growth, with a projected CAGR of 10.3% between 2025 and 2032.

Schools and institutions are gradually shifting toward flexible, ergonomic designs, while businesses are increasingly adopting engineered wood, metal frames, and sustainable materials that comply with BIS/ISI standards.

Expanding Experience Centre Network

Interio currently operates seven experience centres across India and plans to open five more in high-growth markets. The brand continues to collaborate with local industries and government bodies to deliver large-scale projects that enhance workplace efficiency and design.

In North India, there has been growing demand for Interio’s ergonomic chairs, wellness products, and soft seating solutions, helping organizations adapt to changing workspace requirements.

To cater to emerging segments like co-working and small offices, the brand has introduced its “Social Office 2.0” collection, designed to enhance comfort and productivity in shared work environments. For the education sector, it has also rolled out the K12 series, tailored for modern classroom needs.

With the launch of the Lucknow experience centre, Interio by Godrej is reinforcing its commitment to innovation, customer-centric design, and strengthening its footprint in one of India’s fastest-growing regional markets.
