Rae Bareli: Under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) Scheme for Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26, an inspection was carried out at various paddy procurement centres in Rae Bareli district. The inspection was conducted under the supervision of senior administrative officers, including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar, and officials from the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
During the inspection, paddy procurement at several centres — including the Puriyawan, Chaturvedi, and PG Pan Centres — was reviewed in detail. It was found that at the Tola Gachhi Centre, 33 farmers had sold 1,901 quintals, at Dileep Centre 36 farmers sold 1,058 quintals, at Tup Centre 48 farmers sold 3,047.6 quintals, and at Chaturth Centre 30 farmers sold 1,704 quintals of paddy.
Officials verified farmers’ details, including their names and mobile numbers, and ensured compliance with procurement standards. However, during the inspection, irregularities were observed at one of the centres, which was not found to be fully operational as per norms. Discrepancies were detected in the electronic weighing system and documentation. Out of 2,534 paddy bags, only 1,140 were found in order, while 1,394 bags were missing or mismatched. The centre in-charge was directed to face disciplinary action for negligence and procedural violations.
It was also noted that compared to the initial pace of procurement, the purchase rate at some centres had slowed down. Officials were instructed to ensure that no farmer faces any inconvenience or delay during paddy weighing and procurement. Strict directions were issued to maintain transparency, ensure real-time data entry, and complete digital payments directly to farmers’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts after weighing.

Furthermore, instructions were given to expedite the transportation of procured paddy to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) mills for milling and delivery.
In Rae Bareli district, a total of 97 paddy procurement centres have been established under Kharif Paddy Procurement Scheme 2025–26, with the MSP fixed at ₹2,333 per quintal. Authorities have emphasized that any irregularities or misconduct at procurement centres will attract strict disciplinary action against the responsible officials.
