Lucknow: The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) held a landmark event titled “Rising UP: 8 Years of Progress and Prosperity” in Lucknow, celebrating eight years of transformative governance and the deepening economic ties between India and the United States. The event, marked by high-level participation and cultural flair, served as a reflection of Uttar Pradesh’s evolution into a dynamic hub of development and investment.
Gracing the occasion were Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics & IT, Jitin Prasada, and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, alongside UP Minister of State Dinesh Pratap Singh. Prasada hailed recent initiatives such as the HCL-Foxconn semiconductor unit in the state, which is projected to generate 2,000 jobs, furthering India’s ambition to become a global electronics manufacturing leader. He also emphasized the vital role of India-US partnerships and appreciated platforms like the IACC for enhancing bilateral collaboration.
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak highlighted the state’s transformation over the past eight years, driven by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership. He praised the government’s commitment to infrastructure, healthcare, and industrial growth. Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh reiterated these achievements, citing the BrahMos missile manufacturing facility in Lucknow as a game-changer for India’s defense sector.

Former Director General of Police, O.P. Singh, addressed the audience on the crucial relationship between improved law and order and economic prosperity. He noted that the state’s improved security environment has significantly contributed to investor confidence.
The driving force behind the event, Mukesh Singh, Chairman of the IACC UP State Coordination Committee and Executive Council Member, was commended for his leadership in successfully organizing the conference. In his address, he spoke about the IACC’s ongoing efforts to promote Indo-US trade, technology exchange, and entrepreneurial collaboration, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s potential on the global stage.
