Lucknow- The Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh and Lucknow branch, organized a series of awareness activities in the state capital as part of the Seva Pakhwada initiative. The campaign focused on disaster preparedness, rescue operations, and community health services.
During the program, experts Manish Shukla, Shweta Singh Talwar, Rajneesh Sharma, and Sanjay Jaiswal shared detailed information on disaster management practices and the use of rescue equipment. The initiative aimed to educate the general public on effective measures during emergencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Amarnath Mishra, Vice-Chairman of the Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh, said that a special exhibition stall on disaster management was set up at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Convention Centre. In addition, a blood donation camp was organized at Colvin Taluqdar College under the leadership of Rituraj Rastogi and Nafees, with doctors and paramedical staff present. Mohammad Haroon, in-charge of blood services at the State Branch, was also present with the Red Cross Blood Bus.

The event saw the participation of several dignitaries, including Red Cross Treasurer Naveen Gupta, Managing Committee members Manish Shukla, Majeed Ali Khan, Sunil Shukla, Manoj Tiwari, Farooq Ali, Puneet Agrawal, Abdul Mueed, Gaurav Alok Agrawal, Gurpreet Singh Sethi, Rituraj Rastogi, Sumit Sahu, Jyoti Khare, Aishwarya, and Nafees Ahmed, along with headquarters staff such as Rajneesh Sharma, Shweta Singh Talwar, Sanjay Jaiswal, Saurabh Agnihotri, Muskan Chaurasia, Ajay Singh Rawat, Abdul Malik, and Vishwanath.
The campaign reinforced the Red Cross Society’s commitment to humanitarian service, disaster resilience, and community welfare through volunteerism and collective effort.
