Lucknow: In a heartfelt initiative to promote the spirit of saving lives through voluntary blood donation, the Indian Red Cross Society, Lucknow, in collaboration with the Muthoot Group, organized a blood donation camp at the Muthoot Group’s office located in Lekhraj, Indira Nagar. The camp was held with the support of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
The camp was inaugurated by O.P. Pathak, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society (Lucknow Chapter), who emphasized the noble cause behind blood donation.
“There is no greater donation than blood donation. It can save someone’s life. One must donate blood regularly as it not only helps others but also keeps the donor healthy. The body naturally replenishes the donated blood within 24 hours,” he said while addressing the participants.
Anil Kumar, Senior Regional Manager of the Muthoot Group, also motivated employees to participate in the drive.
“Blood donation is the most selfless act one can do. A single donation can save up to three lives. We must all come forward for this noble cause,” he encouraged.
The Indian Red Cross Society extended heartfelt gratitude to all the participants and volunteers who contributed to the success of the camp.
A total of 26 individuals donated blood during the camp, as confirmed by the attending blood donation officer. The initiative witnessed active involvement from both organizations. Notable attendees included Executive Council Members Arvind Pathak, Roop Kumar Sharma, Kush Mishra, Ravindra Kumar, Alok Saxena, and Harshit Shukla from the Red Cross Society, as well as Ramesh Babu and Manvendra Tiwari from the Muthoot Group.
The joint initiative stands as a shining example of corporate and humanitarian collaboration aimed at building a healthier and more compassionate society.
