LUCKNOW,
Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, flagged off an Indian Army mountaineering team of Dogra Regimental Centre, at HQ Surya Command, Lucknow on 30 Aug 25. The expedition embarks on a thrilling 45-day expedition to conquer Mt Nanda Devi East (7434M). It is a part of centenary celebrations of Dogra Regimental Centre and to pay tributes to the bravehearts who laid down their lives in service of the Nation.

The team is comprised of experienced climbers and personnel who have undergone rigorous training to prepare for this challenging expedition. The expedition will test the limits of human endurance and showcase the spirit of adventure and resilience that defines the Indian Army.
Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C, Central Command conveyed his best wishes to the expedition and expressed his confidence on the success.
