The day saw an energetic mix of B2B networking, trade interactions and presentations centred on sustainable, experiential and offbeat travel experiences—reflecting the shifting preferences of India’s new-age travellers.
India Tourism Showcases Key National Initiatives
Representing the Ministry of Tourism, the India Tourism pavilion emerged as one of the busiest spaces for industry stakeholders. Led by Tourist Information Officer Salim Mohammad, the team offered detailed insights into flagship initiatives such as the Incredible India Homestay & Bed & Breakfast Scheme and ongoing IITF/IITG schemes. Their outreach highlighted the government’s mission to deepen awareness about diverse destinations under the Dekho Apna Desh campaign while promoting inclusive and sustainable tourism practices.
Uttar Pradesh Tourism Focuses on Heritage, Spirituality and Revival
The host state, Uttar Pradesh Tourism, outlined its refreshed focus on heritage and spiritual tourism, building on the momentum generated after the successful organisation of the Mahakumbh earlier this year. Officials emphasised continued development of heritage clusters, new tourism circuits and preparations for the upcoming Magh Mela, positioning the state as a year-round cultural destination.
Rajasthan Tourism Pushes New Districts and Film Tourism
Rajasthan Tourism, represented by Deputy Director Ajit Singh and Assistant Director Vivek Joshi, highlighted a strategic expansion beyond the traditional Golden Triangle. Their presentation underscored the state’s progressive Film Tourism and Trade Policy, while bringing attention to unexplored districts such as Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar and Jhunjhunu. The board is also aggressively promoting the majestic havelis of the Shekhawati region as scenic and distinctive venues for destination weddings—an emerging alternative to Udaipur and Jodhpur.
Punjab Tourism Positions the State as a Prime Winter Destination
With District Tourist Officer Gurjot Singh and Tourist Officer Abhay Singh at the helm, Punjab Tourism showcased the state’s expanding portfolio of farm tourism, heritage experiences and eco-retreats. A special focus was placed on the state’s extensive network of wetlands, which attract thousands of migratory birds between December and February, offering a paradise for birders, photographers and nature lovers seeking immersive winter escapes.

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Impresses With ‘History, Handloom & Romance’
Madhya Pradesh Tourism captivated visitors with its evocative theme of “History, Handloom and Romance.” Regional Manager Abhinav Pathak and Marketing Executive Rishabh Rai announced the third edition of the Chanderi Eco Retreat as a signature attraction. The retreat promises luxury glamping experiences in the picturesque Kati Valley, blending adventure activities such as hot air ballooning with in-depth cultural workshops on Chanderi’s famed handloom weaving traditions.
