Lucknow: Under the special enforcement campaign being run for effective prevention of manufacture, sale and smuggling of illegal liquor in view of the upcoming festivals in Lucknow, the Excise team has recovered illegal raw liquor and a case has also been registered against an accused involved in it.
Giving this information, District Excise Officer of Lucknow, Rakesh Kumar Singh said that Excise Inspector Area 4 Abhishek Singh, along with the Excise staff, raided suspicious houses, fields, gardens, suspicious places on the banks of ponds in village Naru Kheda and Ramnagar under Police Station Mal.
During the raid, about 30 liters of illegal raw liquor and 250 kg of lahan were recovered from the spot. He said that the lahan was destroyed on the spot and a case was registered under the relevant sections of the Excise Act. Enforcement work will continue in the area.
