Illegal Hookah Bar Busted in Lucknow’s Kaiserbagh Area, One Arrested

Lucknow : In a late-night operation, the Lucknow Police Commissionerate’s Kaiserbagh unit busted an illegally operated hookah bar running under the guise of a café. The raid took place in the early hours of April 30 at the “D Loaded Café” located on the first floor of Diana Home Building in Kaiserbagh. One individual was arrested from the spot, while the main operator and manager are currently absconding.

Acting on a tip-off from an informer during routine patrol and checking duty, the local police reached the scene and found 11 active hookahs with pipes and flavored tobacco being illegally used inside the café premises.

The arrested accused has been identified as:

  • Mohammad Irfan, son of Mohammad Islam
    Permanent Address: Bari Pakad, Hurmat Nagar, Tanda, PS Bilaspur, District Rampur
    Current Address: House No. 9033, E Block (owned by Bilal), near Pani Tanki, Rajajipuram, PS Talkatora, Lucknow
    Age: 28 years

He was apprehended at approximately 12:30 AM on the night of April 29–30 and was informed about the charges against him at the time of arrest.

The primary owner of the illegal hookah operation, Mohammad Farhan, and the café manager, Mohammad Tariq, managed to flee the scene and are currently being sought by the police.

  • Hookah pipes and flavored tobacco
