Lucknow: The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has officially announced the launch of its Blended Master of Business Administration (bMBA) program, a unique and future-ready offering tailored for working professionals and entrepreneurs eager to elevate their careers.
Set to commence from September 25, 2025, the two-year degree program is thoughtfully designed to integrate live online sessions with immersive campus modules, offering a flexible, yet academically rigorous pathway for career advancement.
The bMBA program has been structured across six terms, featuring foundational compulsory courses in the first year followed by a wide array of electives in the second year, including Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology Systems, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources.
These are aligned with IIM Lucknow’s flagship postgraduate program to maintain the highest standards of academic excellence. A Capstone project will allow participants to translate their learning into real-world applications, reinforcing the program’s hands-on, practical approach.
The program opens for applications on July 11, 2025, and will accept submissions until August 18, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will undergo online interviews from September 1 to 3. According to Prof. M.P. Gupta, Director of IIM Lucknow, the initiative addresses the long-standing needs of experienced professionals who, despite their accomplishments, may lack a formal MBA credential.

He emphasized that the bMBA program is designed to empower such individuals with essential leadership and managerial skills. Echoing the vision, Prof. Sanjay Singh, Dean (Programme), highlighted the program’s inclusive outreach to participants not only from India but also from neighboring countries like Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. Emphasizing values of adaptability and ethical leadership, the program is open to individuals with a minimum of three years of work experience post-graduation, aged at least 24, and with a minimum of 50% marks across 15 years of formal education.
Professionals holding qualifications such as CA, CS, CMA, or equivalent foreign degrees recognized by AIU are also eligible. Candidate selection will involve academic evaluation, work experience assessment, and a final interview round.
With its modern learning design, application-oriented content, and access to IIM Lucknow’s expert faculty, the bMBA program stands poised to shape a new generation of forward-thinking, responsible leaders.
