IGNITE · IMPACT · INSPIRE: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow Concludes MASHAAL 6.0

Lucknow: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, successfully concluded its two-day annual sports fest MASHAAL 6.0 – IGNITE · IMPACT · INSPIRE, marking a spirited celebration of sportsmanship, resilience, and competitive excellence on the institute’s campus.

The fest commenced with an energetic inaugural ceremony on January 7, 2026, which was graced by the presence of Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director; Dr. Rashmi Chaudhary, Dean – Student Affairs; and Dr. Hemendra Gupta, Chairperson – Sports & Wellness Committee. Their presence set an inspiring and motivating tone for the event, reinforcing the importance of discipline, leadership, mental strength, and resilience cultivated through sports.

A defining highlight of the inauguration was the ceremonial Mashaal Run, symbolising perseverance, unity, and the enduring sporting spirit of the institute. With the lighting of the Mashaal, MASHAAL 6.0 was formally declared open, setting the stage for two days of high-energy sporting engagement.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kavita Pathak said, “Sports are a way of life, teaching individuals to embrace failure, rise with determination, and develop resilience and agility essential for personal and professional growth. She highlighted the vital role of sports in supporting mental well-being and preparing individuals for the challenges of life ahead, encouraging students to actively engage in sports as part of their daily routine”.

MASHAAL 6.0 witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 400 students representing over 20 colleges across the region, creating a vibrant and competitive sporting environment. Participating institutions included University of Lucknow, Amity University, BBD, M.C. Saxena College, Integral University, City Law College, IMRT, SMRCEM, KGMU, KKC, Sardar Bhagat Singh College, National PG College, SMS, Nav Yug Kanya Degree College, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, SRMU, Dr. RML Career Medical College, Techno Group, among others.
The fest featured a diverse mix of outdoor and indoor sporting events conducted in structured competitive formats. Outdoor events included Cricket (knockout format), Basketball (male and female matches), Volleyball (best-of-three sets), and Football (league and knockout fixtures). Indoor competitions comprised Badminton (multiple categories), Table Tennis (singles and doubles), Chess (multi-round tournament), Carrom (singles and doubles), and 8 Ball Pool (individual format). Outstanding performers were recognised with trophies, medals, and certificates, while participants were widely applauded for their exemplary team spirit, discipline, and commitment to fair play throughout the fest.

Through MASHAAL 6.0 – IGNITE · IMPACT · INSPIRE, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow reaffirmed its commitment to holistic student development by fostering teamwork, discipline, leadership, and a strong spirit of sportsmanship beyond the classroom.
